Robertsbridge Children's Services - Child care, Nursery, Pre-Schools

The Pre-School assures that every child receives individual care and attention, and the support of a keyworker. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage that leads your child towards approved learning goals targeted at 0 to 5 years. The activities are tailored to suit the needs of each individual child allowing your child to develop at their own pace. For parent and carers, the Pre-School provides a welcoming atmosphere where you will feel assured that your child is receiving the best possible care.

Our Ofsted inspection in September 2007 graded our service as ‘outstanding’, in all respects our service is of ‘exceptionally high quality’.

Keyworkers

Our Keyworkers maintain regular contact with parents concerning their individual child’s development and progress. We promote partnerships with parents, developing a working relationship between them and their child’s keyworker.

Parents and Carers

Because we recognise that parents and carers are the first and most important educators of their children, we have regular parent consultations, which parents and carers are encouraged to attend. We encourage parents to have an active role in completing their child’s Learning Journey.

There are always opportunities for parents and carers to become involved, by either offering help during sessions, joining the parent forum, the fund-raising group or joining the independent management team.

Learning through Play

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which supports the learning, development and care for children aged from 0-5 years.  Our experience tells us that children learn best through play-based and child-led activities. We offer our children a range of activities and experiences based upon the six areas of learning and development:

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Our keyworker system enables us to ensure that each child develops at their own pace with the support and guidance that they need.
